1. Cold feet = cold body: Get warm with a cozy pair of cowboy boots or riding boots. For the ladies you can pull off a sundress in the fall with leggings or tights with your boots. And boy, is that so.  Jeans have a surprisingly rich and fascinating history, one that has its roots in Renaissance-era Italy, extends through 18th-century France, and has its American coming-of-age in 19th-century California.  Quite a journey!  (We say “surprisingly,” but really, when have you ever read about the history of some seemingly mundane object and not been somehow hoodwinked into fascination and awe?  Even the most humble of instruments.  Wow, we’re really feeling discursive today.  Back to jeans…)
