Wrangler jeans have a storied history dating back more than 100 years. In 1904, and starting with the manufacture of working overalls, C.C. Hudson and his brother Homer became very successful at selling their line of overalls. And in 1919, with flourishing sales, the two brothers changed their business name from the Hudson Overall Company to Blue Bell Overall Company. The name Wrangler didn’t become known until about 1947 when, through acquisition of Casey Jones Company including the little known label Wrangler four years earlier, a professional tailor named Rodeo Ben came into the picture.

Rodeo Ben had a vision for blue jeans. Working with professional rodeo cowboys, he vigorously tested each blue jean design for sturdiness and excellence. Wrangler’s popularity and success transcended the world of rodeo, and in 1974, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association officially endorsed Wrangler. As the years went on, the Wrangler brand found itself further endorsed by country music singers and the sport of NASCAR. With an eye for both the functional and the stylish, Wrangler introduced Aura in 2005, featuring a large variety of blue jean choices for women.
