Resistol Boots

Resistol boots are often overshadowed by their more famous sister product, the cowboy hats the the Garland, Texas-based clothing manufacturer makes. (The “overshadowed” thing: no pun intended.) There’s no question, Resistol hats are world-renowned. Chances are, if you’ve heard of the brand, it’s due to their ongoing tradition of making some of the best cowboy hats around. It’s not hard to see why the hats/boots disparity is so pronounced; after all, when you have two U.S. Presidents (Ronald Reagan and Texas’s very own Lyndon Baines Johnson) proudly wearing your headgear, you’re likely to get a bit of buzz for making those.
So the whole thing’s understandable. Nevertheless, it is a shame, since while Reseistol hats are obviously standard-bearers in the cowboy hat world, their boots are nothing to sniff at. Their line of footwear, known as Resistol Ranch, is made by Lucchese. We all know that if Lucchese is staking its good name on some boots, they’re going to be some high-quality boots. The line’s slogan is “Rough, Rugged, Ranch, Ready,” and it’s easy to see why: instead of the showy detail of typical Lucchese products (Diva by Lucchese, anyone?) Resistol Ranch boots are much more worker-oriented, with subdued patterns and color options leading the way. For example, the Men’s Resistol Black Chocolate Lone Star, with its deep, rich brown finish, is a far cry from bright crimsons and whites of the Ladies’ Lucchese Red Lizard. (Not that we’re picking one over the other, here. Different strokes for different folks, am I right?)
The Resistol Ranch line also tends to be more affordably priced than the parent Lucchese line. Of the four styles we have to offer, two cost $199.99, while none tops the $300-mark. That means high quality at a lower price than you might expect, and that’s something I think we can all get behind.
