The Rodeo Austin Gala 2010 is Just One Month Away

One of the coolest annual events in Austin is Rodeo Austin, and this year’s Rodeo Austin Gala — complete with a four-course dinner, concert and silent auction — is just one month away. Happening on February 6, 2010, the Rodeo Austin Gala will be held at the Palmer Events Center. The event helps raise money for the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo and benefits Rodeo Austin’s mission, which is “Promoting Youth Education — Preserving Western Heritage.”

Live Music at the 2010 Rodeo Austin Gala

We were so excited to hear about the live entertainment at the 2010 Rodeo Austin Gala. Scheduled to perform are Dwight Yoakum and Walt Wilkins & The Mystequeros. These impressive performers are sure to make it a memorable evening for all in attendance.

Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo

The Gala is sort of a preview for the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo, which is scheduled for March 12-27, 2010. This family-friendly event offers much to do for people of all ages. There’s a carnival, livestock show, ProRodeo and live music. The full line-up for the Main Stage won’t be released until January 27, so we still have a few more weeks until we find out who else will perform. Last year’s Main Stage entertainers included: Randy Travis, Kellie Pickler, Jesse McCartney, Kevin Fowler, Jack Ingram and Randy Rogers Band. These shows are put on in the Rodeo Arena.

Don’t Forget Your Cowboy Boots

If you’re going to the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo, wear your cowboy boots! Allens Boots is proud to sell a wide variety of cowboy boots for men, women and even children so that you can outfit your whole family. Not only are cowboy boots durable and comfortable, they’re also the perfect way of saying “I’m a proud Texan” — and that’s a great statement to make at the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo.
